a deeper shade of blue

The cold winter months mean only one thing, steaming hot baths are an absolute must. Whenever I feel down or under the weather, I like to have a hot bath and use a bath bomb. It never fails to lift my mood, like it's any surprise that bright coloured, beautifully scented, glittery baths are a comfort to me. The other day, I was feeling a little bit rough so I decided I'd have a bath and use a bath bomb. I picked an Intergalactic in the shape of an egg which I'd won in a giveaway a few months back and then I thought, is there any other bath bomb I could use? I looked in my jar of bath bombs and found my rocket science bath bomb. I bought this last month and left it in the paper bag instead of wrapping it so it'd had more exposure to the air then it should have. It was time to use it or it would be a rather boring fizzleless (yes, I just invented that word) bath bomb. Up to this point, I'd never used two bath bombs in one bath before, so I was pretty excited to try these both out. I put the Intergalactic bath bomb in first.

It's beautiful, right? Lush describe this bath bomb as a 'sexy, interstellar bomb' that allows you to enter the cosmos and become the 'guardian of your own galaxy.' There is something out of this world (I apologise about that awful pun but refuse to take it out) about this beautiful bath bomb. It's a stunning shade of azure with rainbows that look like constellations swirling in your bathtub. The scent of peppermint is uplifting and refreshing while warm notes of vetivert and cedarwood mix together to heat you up. It's similar to a musky aftershave. Apparently, I only just read this on the Lush website, that there is popping candy in this bath bomb which only adds to the stunning display.

With this bath bomb almost done I decided it was time to add the second, the rocket science bath bomb. This is a very similar shade to the previous bath bomb and because both were blue, I thought they'd be the perfect mixture. Spoiler alert: It was.

This bath bomb was mostly blue with some yellow from the that made a beautiful mixture of green in small but vibrant portions of the bathtub. This scent is that of lemon and bergamot and it somehow mixed with the other bath bomb extremely well. The previous bath bomb was still going at this point so there were some very pretty colours floating around together at the top of the water.

Afterward, I was left with a deep blue bath. It was such a deep colour that I couldn't see my hand if I placed it on the bottom of the bathtub and there was so much glitter swirling around both gold and silver. It was majestic and honestly, it made me feel a lot better for a little while.

I hope you didn't find this post too boring. What can I say? I'm addicted to Lush.

Thank you for visiting my blog and reading this post.
